Modified Bally In Line Drop Target Bracket And Why It Works

Recommended Posts

I'll take the bracket to our local machine supplies place on Tuesday and see what he says.

The place has an amazing stock of stuff so I'll be surprised if he can't help - when he doesn't have what we need, usually he can get it in overnight.

He also speaks a reasonable amount of English, especially "technical English" which is pretty helpful for me :lol

Just be aware there is both a left hand and right hand version of this bracket.

This picture from the 1986 Bally Parts catalog has both part numbers listed...(in the blue circle)

Yes, I saw that your pic of a broken bracket differed from the parts list part.

Left and right hand it is.

I have no idea what machine uses the right hand. I've only come up against the left hand version myself. I'm thinking maybe Fathom as the bank is right at the top in a tight spot but that is only speculation.

Other wise I will have to get new ones machined somehow.

You could try making them as per the first post:

I actually prefer to make these whole brackets from a piece of suitable angle, drill the holes in place and put a 1mm angle grinder blade through the bend carefully to make the now closed in slot. No welding that way.;)

Yep sure is.

At least I have got a new bracket to put in.

Hopefully this will do the trick. Other wise I will have to get new ones machined somehow.
