A backwards pinball machine

Recommended Posts

I like the way he change the score reels to subtract. Would be neat to have a regular pinball game that takes points off you for hitting a certain target as a punishment.

Bally's SpeakEasy does however you need to select it by a separate flipper button.

It subtracts 25,000 points to get the targets back in sequence if you get them out of sequence.

A very cool feature.

I think there's one single sensible reason why pinballs aren't designed reversed and that's because it's easier to aim your shots. I reckon this game would be extremely difficult trap the ball on the flipper and aim from that angle.

Novelty yes, practicality no.

Gottlieb's Black Hole with it's lower playfield being backwards probably did it more harm than good. I often thought good concept, (the lower playfield), but you stuffed it being backwards.
