Star Trek flipper problem

BrissyGuy

Question

I'm trying to help out a mate who sold a '78 Star Trek and bought a STTNG. The problem is with the 78 ST he's just sold. Buyer inspected the machine and game was working well apart from a number out on the display. Buyer had a quick game and bought it on the spot.

Game has been picked up and transported by buyer and the next day the flippers won't work at all. Can anyone give me ideas on what could be the problem ? As far as I'm concerned there's no warranty once it leaves a sellers home, but my mate is trying to help out the buyer.

First thing i would check is the end of stroke switches on the flippers. Give them a clean and check they have good continuity.

A quick and very temporary check i have done in the past is put a jumper wire with alligator clips each end over the eos switch and if the flippers work you know it is the eos contacts
