Question

hi all,

wondering if someone can give an idea of which way i should go.

my eBay purchased ( chinese junk maybe??) has no display. starts up and led is green on jamma board and fans are working.

i have taken the board out for any potential DIY work, but anyway give me some advice please on what way i should go?

the unit was hardly used, should i consider getting a new jamma and PC system and plug it back in? would a jamma pi an alternative....

buttons, joysticks and unit all in excellent condition.

i tested another monitor with different vga lead and still not working

any pointers please?

Are you getting any output from the VGA connector on the motherboard, with/without the jamma harness connected? The top blue board interface will not function without the bottom motherboard working.

The symptoms your having also tell me the bottom board has taken a dump.

Bottom board (motherboard) on these type boards have a very high failure rate for whatever reason.

Sometimes I've had the bottom board and the CPU go at the same time...

Finding replacements for them is getting harder these days.

They are using this normally upright system in a table, they use 20 year old used ide hard drives

Normally the transistors short out on the bottom board, we should have some spare bottom boards arriving this week, we bought some to repair some customers who had the same system
