chopchop
Welcome "down-under". Seems we have more OS people migrating here - recently picked up a Canadian too! Much friendlier bunch than on some other forums. Can't help much with the virtual pin setups - but it sounds like it may be more in your field of expertise. BOP is a fun game - favorite of my girls too. Someone should be able to give you a hand with your setup- maybe more on the arcade/virtual side than here. Good luck and buy some real pinballs! redferatu
Visual pinball x is the way to go from all my research, as I have fairly recently jumped on board (6 months ago). There is a YouTube video that will get you going, it's pretty average but enough to get started. Something to get your head around with the move though is vpin works with multiple programs. A full setup has something for a front end, pbx is the easiest once your setup, hyperpin is a vertical hyperspin option. Vpinmame sorts the rom which for pinball holds the game rules, dmd and sounds. Virtual pinball x runs the physics and the table. B2s emulates the back box. So the main difference I had to get my head around from mame emulation is that there are different components working together to achieve a full table. All of this runs fine on windows 10. Guys on here have done bench marking on what is needed to run it all, worth checking out @OzStick posts regarding CPU. @RustyCardores has done some awesome work on a cheap tactile feedback option which is also worth checking out. @Jed had a thread on nudge options too. There is heaps to look at and more than one way to skin a cat. Super rewarding though. Sent from my HTC 2PZF1 using Tapatalk
