Netherworld Kong Off - 11th and 12th November 2017

Hey mates

 

Still chasing a pcb for Defender, Gyruss, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Wonder Boy and Ghosts & Goblins as we only have bootlegs at the moment if anyone can help.

 

Let me know if you have any questions or would like any changes made to the format. Am open to suggestions.

Would love to see an original Ghouls n Ghosts there, I think I could make a top 3 on TG.

 

I've started playing Ghost n Goblins over the last week and hit 112'000 , man this is so much harder than the sequel. I'm hoping @jimmynails bootleg isn't the harder Italian version.

If you're half decent at this, you should get on it - only 12 scores on the TG scoreboards, and Aussies are currently #1 and #2 :)

Only 3 scores on the TG scoreboard for this, though you'll need 170,670 to get into 3rd place which is a hefty stay at the machine. Be cool to just get some scores up on this. Reckon I'm good for about 2000 :) @Jimmi Nails - I know there are several good players that work at Netherworld, anyone keen to give it a shot?

Luckily I'll be in Melbourne that weekend. The last time I was in the same room as Knucklehead it nearly ended in a punch up. Long story and I'm not going into details on here but I don't need that grief again.

I hear on the grape vine that the Aussie WR holder for DK is attending, but it's not who it was a few hours ago.... Oh heaven help us if he remains the No. 1 player in Australia, I bet he is changing the answering service message on his phone as we speak :lol

I was planning on doing squat tomorrow, but I do need more DK practice. Had a couple of games of Frogger tonight only half serious, and I'm a long way short of "The Cleaner" - might just come in tomorrow at opening for a few games of each :)

No, it's not Jumpman more commonly known as Mario getting hit by a barrel - that was Graham Hawkins aka StormData (aka @Hawkins) achieving a killscreen minutes ago.

 

5 Kill Screen players coming along next weekend, two of whom have achieved another killscreen in the last week. We don't need Brian Kuh, we know a killscreen is coming to Netherworld.

@zanderzone - not a fan of your "new and TG legit Frogger" PCB - no hint of a speed change, 72k first life.... then the speed changed, it wasn't impossible, but it was a nasty speed change. Lost 6 lives for under 5K and game over by 76k :cry

 

"The Cleaner" lives another day as Netherworld Frogger champ :(

I'm on a real hot streak on DK this week.

Beat my PB and got 672k, sadly only an increase of 12k.

Then was playing the Japan Set and hit the killscreen, 587k.

The next day back to the US set and got 747k, and just now got 739k.

Getting really close now, will be interesting to see what I can do on different machines with more distractions at Netherworld :nervous:
