oldbyte
Hi Guys, I am looking for advice re a mod on 3ds xl. My son has one but he is vision impaired and can no longer see the screen. I have heard of this guy in Japan that will mod a 3ds xl to play on a large screen. (but, very expensive) Just wondering if anyone has heard of him http://www.3dsvideocapture.com/product-list/11 or if there is a way of playing the 3ds on a large lcd screen. Any help would be appreciated.
Krumm
I've heard of speedrunners getting their 3ds modified so they can capture / stream attempts of their gameplay, it was never cheap but I seem to recall it being about $300 but that was before the new Nintendo 3ds came out and that may have inflated the costs if they had to produce a new workaround for that model. I did read about that service on Kotaku http://kotaku.com/my-quest-to-play-3ds-games-on-my-tv-1512835011 so it was legitimate.

Krumm
May work out cheaper getting an older model 3ds with capture installed from one of them seeing as screen size wont be an issue if playing on a tv and would save a few hundred dollars. Obviously games requiring the new nintendo 3ds won't function then such as Xenoblade Chronicles.
redferatu
Hey @oldbyte , this sounds like a job for an emulator. Citra can do 4k resolution I'm pretty sure and has controller support. https://citra-emu.org Sent from my HTC 2PZF1 using Tapatalk
