Still waiting on the 3mm ID ball bearings but most of the other parts have arrived.
The next job will be making a PCB for an Arduino Leonardo and 4 x H-Bridge motor drivers which will control 8 motors from one serial line. I'll use it to drive the 5 Engines in the shed, Thomas, Harold and the Fat Controller toys.

It's an omen of things to come.
Or someone is trying to tell me something.

    Time to finish this thing.

Wed morning I'll try to finish off the backbox.
I need to wire another neopixel into the string of LEDs and add this to the controller code.
Adjust the lamp board mounting holes so I can lift the board a couple of mm.
Make new pcb spacers for the led display as it sits too close to the translite.
Wire up the relays to the topper engines and 5v.
Wire the relays to the display controller board.
Make a serial cable to run to the Fat Controller board from the display controller board.
Sand rough spots and touch up the paint.
Drill two holes in the tunnel plastic to clear the lamp board mounting bolts.
Trim the mounting screws for the tunnel plastic.

Thursday will see the backbox finished and the track removed from the big plastic ready for decals and some mods. It's too wide and scrapes the inside of the cabinet and I need to add cutouts for the flipper switches.

Friday I'll start mounting the new flipper and solenoid boards and then it's wiring time. I'll also move the power supplies from under the playfield into the cabinet.

    Well that's the plan.

Adjust the lamp board mounting holes so I can lift the board a couple of mm. DONE

Make new pcb spacers for the led display as it sits too close to the translite. DONE

Drill two holes in the tunnel plastic to clear the lamp board mounting bolts. DONE

    And it all fits.

I'm heading out to Tamworth Library soon to do my induction on their 3D scanner and 3D printer.
I've already done the laser engraver induction.

I'll do more when I get back.

Can you figure out why my topper lamps weren't working?
The two holes are for mounting screws with the heads in the track side and the LED is in the middle of the board. There is a break in the track between the led legs.

That's the backbox wired. A quick change to the code tomorrow and it's ready for touchups to the paint.

The thick white wire is the only one that goes to the Fat Controller board under the playfield, it supplies 9v to the display, 5v to the other boards and the topper engine lamps, Gnd and a serial line to the Leonardo board.
    Cheers Trev
