there were actually a few bally miss america bingos. there were 2 from memory from the 1970s.

are they collectable? sure they are but keeping these running/getting them running if not is a major thing as they are the most complex of all electromechanical games.

I have a Miss America Deluxe, is a Bally Bingo, and an amazing work of EM Technologie. Currently has a fault , I think I need Donald Trump to sign an Executive order to send out a rocket scientist to help fix it ! Oh they weigh a tonne !

I've seen the 70's ones for sale online, whatever price they list it at they haven't sold in months, one went as an auction a few months ago.... I'd say there is no demand and is a very small group of collectors who would be interested in them.

I like how they sell them on ebay. " was working, not nowt. Should be easy to fix" A similar ad would be "Used Space Shuttle, was working, not now. Should be easy to fix "

Yer I would say the one I saw was a 70's model, not the 57 model. I suppose the one saving grace is he has a couple of them but haven't been operated for years.

Did it become illegal to operate them or did machines like draw Poker kill them off?. They used to be everywhere when I was a kid.

yes they were illegal..but because it was the 1950s to late 70s the laws were a lot looser back then..

what killed them off? video games like space invaders etc.

Gee Illawarra, I thought you would have snapped at something like one of these but if they are anything like a Bally or Williams EM pinball, I can understand why you are steering clear.

Would something like a early 60s poker machine be more your style?.
