Hobbit occasionally tripping RCD

djc

Question

My Hobbit tripped the RCD breaker for the third time since August yesterday.

It only happens when the machine is being turned on and usually requires a second RCD reset to clear.

Since it's not a regular occurrence I am pretty sure nothing is broken;- more likely an over sensitive RCD or the inrush limiting is not quite enough to work in all situations.

My other machines have never tripped it.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues with JJP machines or have any ideas on how to prevent the tripping short of getting the RCD breaker disconnected from the games room circuit?

Thanks Dave

Cheers. Any idea if they would be inline for the device or replacement of the main one?

The breakers in question are called harmonic immune breakers.

We have installed a few where I work and it solved the problem.
