Has anyone got 58 seconds for the first stage yet? I have not but I used to rarely BITD, from memory I think you needed to jump forward off the start ramp, might have been a different rom though.

I did one the other day by getting the boost start but no idea how to actually do it.

PB by a long shot. Old PB was 360K. I managed to hit a 58 too Rat! I was very excited to hit this score. 500K has been a long time goal. Everything just went right.

Best I can do is 60 - a long way in game terms from 58 I know, but I can't complete the training course either :redface

This game ate everyone’s coins when it was released in the ‘80s, just as well it can now be played in MAME for free.

This game also requires precise shooting and jumping, a good memory and a natural urge to destroy aliens.

thejudge makes it over 100K to 106K for 8th place, Foot real late drives in at a neat 114K for 7th place, Rat launches for the moon from Tassie to score 116K and a handy 6th place, Mameshane loops the game for the first time ever for a stellar 140K and 5th place, RMacauley drives rarely and low on fuel for a strong 168K and 4th place, Barra even higher (the score that is) with 185K for 3rd place, Blackflag82 plays great for 215K and 2nd place … and magrinder patrols for an outstanding PB and super-duper world class score of 529K …

Congratulations to magrinder for winning Game 4 with superb moon patrolling skills and achieving the no.3 rank in the world at TG for MAME …

I double checked every post in this thread and unfortunately I could not find any score posted by you ... to be fair to everyone, I am sorry I can't add your score to the scoreboard for Moon Patrol ... there are 17 days to post a score which should be plenty of time for everyone.

One good habit I can suggest for everyone, is that when a game is drawn, have a few games and post your score within 2 days of the game opening. Then keep playing and post your best scores as you go ... :)
