A new tool for drop target springs.

Recommended Posts

Guy's I have got to share this-

Firstly, thanks to Tony @illawarra_steelers for sending me a couple of springs for a drop target on my Target Alpha. Now as many know it's a total pain fitting them......Until now!

I just replaced a spring to the plastic target midway in the assembly first try in under 1 minute. How do you ask--

I used a surgical locking forceps see Pix. The lock holds the spring firm and doesn't let go until you release the lock. My wife is a nurse & she suggested to try them, Friggen Brilliant! Cheap on ebay around $8 with free post.

Don't worry @Koops it's only money..:o

It was just poor self deprecation directed at a brilliant suggestion :)

I ran into this particular issue only last week when I tried to start replacing a couple of springs on my hobbit to see how hard it would be.

Due to the confined space it we very hard to control the end to get it to sit right in the bottom hook and thought "there HAS to be a better way!" then this thread shows up :D
