    Sega Outrun Upright restoration

Here's my restoration topic for my Sega Outrun, so far I already restored the steering mechanism, removed the rust, painted it and put new gears on it as the old ones were broken, I also cleaned up the plastic cover and pedals.

Unfortunately I've got some problems with the game:
    - Stripes in the clouds, but also stripes in the music selection screen. The C.R.T. Test does show these stripes too...
    - The right road data is not good, as you can see in the pictures attached the road at the right site looks weird from the start, and on the fork in the end of the stage where you can choose to go left or right the right road is not visible at all, however you can steer to the right there and drive through the grass to get into the stage which is on the right...

Right now I am trying to fix this by cleaning the chips with a glass fibre pen

I've made some progress! Here are the photos.

Guess who's back?!!!! (The right part of the road &#128521 - Replaced 3 bitcounters: IC30, IC31 and IC32 with SN74LS161AN

And the bezel looks tight again too

    To do:
    - To solve the stripe problem in the clouds, IC95 is a suspect, I already bought a replacement for that: 74als138n (a decoder/demultiplexer)
    - Let print a new marquee, mine is yellowed... A LOT 😄
    - One day... the cabinet wood...
