Cabinet labels, to keep or not to keep, that is the question?

Recommended Posts

I am going to restore my Taxi cabinet. I have done other cabinets before but usually the labels are shot to hell and not worth keeping.

In this cabinet the inside one and the one on the rear are ok.

With a black cab it would be pretty easy but with a yellow, I have to repair around the rear label.

Do I try to keep the label or not?

Is it important to any future buyer?

Personally I don't think they are that important but if it is an good label one why not?

depending on the glue behind you might be able to peel it off if you apply enough heat evenly.

I have used a hot water bottle to transfer heat into the label but a nice sunny day will help.

Start to peel it off while warm and reapply the heat as required to soften it up.
