ACDC PRO flipper not working

jtred872

Question

So I was in the middle of a multiball today with 2 balls held on the left while I was flipping the other away on the right. suddenly the left flipper just dropped and stopped working altogether. I'd have to admit that I was holding it up for quite a while though. Any idea what I have done?

Cheers

First thing ,do you have any soldering/desoldering tools and skills to use them,if not find some one in your area that does.

You will find you may have blown the flipper fuse under the playfield and also blown the mosfet that drives the left flipper Q15 from memory on the driver board but check your manual to be sure.

Replace the blown mosfet with an IRL540N and check your fuses

Can confirm it would be the mosfet.

Have a mate with a acdc bib le. During one session he was interrupted by the wife who decided it would be a good time for a chat. Held the ball on the left flipper for around ten minutes while engaged in conversation and had the flipper drop dead.

Replaced fuse and q15 mosfet and all good again.
