Williams Barracora

A friend of a friend of a friend has offered me his Williams Barracora pinny for sale. I will be viewing it over the weekend and he has priced it as "make an offer". He said it is in pretty good condition and was working fine a couple of months ago but now isn't.

I really can only go off the general condition of the machine when I look at it but where do you think COULD be a good starting point for my offer. In other words what would an above average working one possibly be worth ?

Thanks.

I reckon it'll come down to playfield condition / inserts and backglass. Not a game I would chase unless all the art was ok and it had another MPU in it. long live the piggy back board concept - phfft.

I'm not a Williams SS specialist but given the visual things are OK - ish for this title, out on a limb, 1.75 if its intact.

Mmm 100ks across Sydney on a Saturday. Now that's something I'd like to see. But thanks for the advice i didn't realize they are so fragile. Have carted a few like this and been lucky i guess. Thanks.

Here's a few more pics. As you can see it needs some TLC. It has an Kahout mpu and works but no sound and has a bit of mind of its own atm. One of the mpu LEDs is out so needs a train eye to look over her I'd say. Also top left plastic no good and I think will be hard to replace. I live for bringing these back to life these days but very time consuming.

Sorry for crappy photos once again.

The story behind me getting it was simply he contacted me as he did all other pinballs wanted and I said yeah iam interested how much do you want and he come back with 500 and brief discription and I said yeah I'll take it. Simple as that really. When I seen it I kinda erred cause it's going to need some work and you guys know I still have a lot to learn but I just thought what the hell and handed him the 5 large. Even if a break even or loss or whatever I don't really care I just love seeing these old relics from a time gone buy, our time, given new life. It's just the process of getting them running and back in action that I have become addicted to. The biggest problem I have is letting them go once they're done.
