Does anyone know how to program an Arduino ?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm making a home brew pinball, and want to make some scrolling displays using an Ardunio and 8 x 8 matrix displays.

The only problem is that I suck at the programming code. I need to learn a lot more on C+

So if anyone can offer advice or help it would be be greatly appreciated.

I thought the idea of a Arduino is that others have usually already written the code for popular projects. Can you get some code and then modify it?

eg.

Yes you are right, both Brainy Bits and Parola have sites with info. But my attempts at getting their software to run have failed dismally :cry

I have seen the indestructibles site, they use a shift register to do the display, this is a clunky way of doing it. The Arduino will do a better job, once we have got the software happy. But thanks for the advice

These are the displays running off an Arduino I have. But only a static display, not the scrolling one I require.

I have the same problem at the moment. I learnt BASIC and it's difficult for me to remember the instructions for the Arduino. Get a copy of this book.

It may help. It works for me.

Cheers Trev.
