Great looking, they are getting harder to find in that condition now a days.. What other work has been done on this...

Was pretty much a ground up rebuild out of the original tonna that was a 253 auto, a 2nd tonna as spares and a HX Statesman. Used all the best bits from 3 cars.

Full HZ GTS and stato dash with all Statesman interior, except for the Torana SLR seats- they sit lower than the Stato seats. Made up the wiring for the interior lights from a statesman harness, so has 3 in the roof, 2 in each door and 1 in each foot well.

5 Speed Supra box conversion, lowered, custom interior - black diamond cloth on red cloth, custom alloy tray and guards, urathane bushes through the front end, full 2K black chassis, chrome under the bonnet (brackets, brake booster, bolts, clips, latches, etc),

extractors, 2 1/2" stainless single exhaust and muffler, 4 wheel disc brake set up.

Getting off topic of the sale, but did you choose the motor upgrades?

The motor I originally put in was from yet another statesman .... was an ok 40 thou 308 and had some kick, but was a bit tired.

Needed a rebuild and wanted to keep it 40 thou but had a bit too much wear so needed to go out to 60 thou. I did choose most of the upgrades and had a heap of parts that I had bought years earlier, so used what we could. The heads needed to be changed to take the roller rockers, didn't want a lumpy cam as it was more of a daily run around carrying pinballs about the place. So was mainly a tidy up with new bits, full strip down and rebuild and then some slight upgrading. Ended up putting my old vacuum 4 barrel holley on so that I could control it and mostly only use 2 barrels. A nice mechanical 4 barrel would give it extra kick, but that would only tip machines off the back.

Was Dino'd up after the initial run in, quite a few years ago now, but still gets along nicely.

She sounds as good as she looks.......with minimal weight on the rear end she would be easy to let slide.

I was curious as to the roller rockers being fitted, pressed steel rockers whilst not 100% identical to each other still work fine with a mild cam. But as you had them lying around, why not use them.

Yeh, nothing like fully opening primaries then trampin' open the secondaries on a mech 4 barrel. Nice adrenalin rush :)
