nogi
Hello all, I?m from Brisbane and usually busy running my shrimp keepers forum to do anything else. But a guy here at work got me hooked on the DIY arcade scene so here I am. I?ve got a Raspberry Pi2 on order along with a bunch of other components. My plan is to make a retro style desktop arcade for my 2 boys so please bear with me as I?ll have a ton of newbie questions along the way. cheers, NoGi

Kaizen
Hi Nogi, welcome to the forum, I remember you from SKF. I got some Yellows off you a while back. Plenty of good info and advice here. :welcome: Edited March 10, 2015 by Kaizen

raziel2001au
From Brisbane here as well... how's your build coming along? Just a heads up, some joysticks, like the Sanwa JLF joysticks are designed to be mounted very close to the surface - in Jap cabs they are normally mounted on a metal plate (they recommend mounting no thicker than 5mm). So if you're going for those, you may be best off mounting on perspex (with artwork below it), or doing wood in multiple layers if you're not intending to route out areas to make space for the mounting plate.
