3102 in 1 - Boot Issue

diik0nn

Question

Hi guys,

Having trouble with my 3102 in 1 board, I bought this from Paradise Arcade and have been happy so far with it.

The other day after a normal shutdown it doesn't seem to be able to complete the boot sequence.

I can see the bios screen + PC RAM test then the very start of the Windows 2000 boot screen.

But after that the screen just remains blank?

I'm reasonably ok with computers so any advice or hints from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Typical "PCs used in arcade machine" problems...I can't offer any repair advice other than avoid anything that uses a PC for an arcade machine - it will ALWAYS end in tears!

Have u connected through VGA or CGA

The other day as I've got a keyboard connected to mine

I accidentally pressed V or Z

Which change the video input

My monitor was displaying no input

I totally freaked out

Rebooted it again

Then pressed the button on my wireless keyboard and then the Videos Settings appeared again

And I chose 31 kHz any came back

I'm not sure if this is the issue you're having that this work for me

I too saw the boot sequence Than a black screen

Thanks for the responses guys. The board is connected via cga, thanks for the video input tip, there is dip switches on the jamma connector to cycle through them, will check it out. Other than that I thought I should plug in a pc monitor & run chkdisk or something, haha.

Thanks again guys.

If you manage to get it running make a disk image/clone onto another drive and store it away. I think some have the ability built into the system? but if not pull the drive and connect to usb device to attach to another pc if the same as a 2xxx you should have 3 partitions
