A Scramble rip-off for sure, but I always thought it was easier.

Better flyer than Scramble too - "The Super Cobra Challenge. The 10,000 mile megablitz." It's up on my wall.

TG records would suggest it's a lot harder - and this is on 5 lives:

    1 100% 123940 Donald Hayes 2006-02-01 0 INP
    2 17% 21420 Timothy Davidson 2008-04-17 0 INP
    3 14% 17560 Koos van Dyk 2008-12-02 0 INP

Top score on MARP is 108k

It will be interesting to see how high people score on this, if Don Hayes has a top score of 123k, then I'd be guessing this is a monumental score on this one.

    EDIT:

Arcade records are a bit higher, but probably no where near what Scramble is (I'm too lazy to check)

    1 100% 309410 Donald Hayes 2008-05-10 0 Referee
    2 75% 233300 Robert Mruczek 2007-11-16 0 Referee
    3 64% 198470 Matt Brass 1982-07-26 0 Referee

yeah - I don't know John. If default hiscore is 10k then the 2nd and 3rd scores in your post seem lazy?

I reckon this MGL round will smash those scores. Will fire up my cab in a day or so, but I feel I have better scores and normally MGL makes me improve on previous best.

The Stern sets are often harder than their counterparts, I wonder if that's the case here...

The TG & Marp scores I looked up were Stern, didn't check out Konami.

Oh yeah, the MARP comments suggest that scobra is easier.

I'm not really a fan of the Scrambley games, can I play Super Contra instead?
