TAG - Thunderbirds Pinball - Parts updates ONLY

OK- TAG is on the go! (pun intended). I invite ANY and ALL ideas from people no matter how small they may seem. We will throw all ideas and concepts up. Please keep this thread for new suggestions only - gossip and speculation can go in the other TB thread.

There is nothing fixed at all at this stage and any and all pictures you see at this stage are purely artist conceptions and WILL certainly change.

Keeping in mind that we don't want to end up with this:

A few things that we have thrown up as a VERY rough guideline are (in no particular order):

      (1) Standard width, full size cabinet
      (2) Backbox animation? Possibly Mr Tracy at his desk talking?
      (3) DMD NOT LCD
      (4) Embedded controller NOT PC based
      (5) Drop targets (qty and type up for discussion)
      (6) PF magnet/s
      (7) Stereo sound with 12" subwoofer (mainly for upwards compatibility with future machines)
      (8) Excellent PF toys such as TB2, Mole, sliding pool and falling palm trees, FAB1 (Rolls Royce) and Lady Penelope >>>>
      (9) Machined aluminium flipper mechanisms with roller bearings

Any CONSTRUCTIVE ideas or suggestions most welcome........

While we are talking about FAB1 - my wife bought new plates for her car today (no, it isn't a Rolls Royce):

How about forming the siderails and incorporating wear area guards using the IR logo like the one seen on the door above with laser cuts and a different colour underneath to accentuate it.

      - - - Updated - - -

As said it would have to be 5-ball multiball of course.

Somehow make the hangar opening that TB2 comes out of as the lockball trap.

Sliding pool, cool. Maybe opening to reveal the lower playfield?

Brains face ala roadshow, every time he starts stammering you have to hit a ball into his mouth. Sliding pool, with ball capture ramp??
I hope when i die, my wife doesn't sell my pinball machines for what I told her I paid for them.

"...sliding pool and falling palm trees..." AN ABSOLUTE MUST!

As mentioned, the "5...4...3...2...1..." to mutliball would be super rewarding!

It'd also be cool to see some really nice animatronics, particularly with characters' eyes. Perhaps something that follows the ball (& that leaves Rudy or Homer for dead).

PLUS beautiful sweeping ramps aka - TOTAN of PARTY ZONE (none of these big fat, deep bucket like ramps that keep turning up).

Glowing eyes for the hood and when the ball is captured by him you actually lose your BIP, or lose points, anything relating to no reward or a severe penalty that's
game adjustable, so you avoid him after all he is the villain. And also those hover scooters going across the playfield as in big buck hunter.

Could it be at all possible to bring it out with simple(ish) user friendly software that allows the player to adjust or design new rules on a PC - Like P-ROC but simpler. Edit it on a PC then transfer onto a ROM or USB stick to your machine? Rule sets could be shared making the possibilities endless. I think this could be something that sets it apart from other machines - is it possible or feasible?

      or is this me below???

Design all the cabling with Molex Plugs so the PF can be removed from the backbox, without messing with the boards eg DE style and simple hinge lock system. feature lighting underneath cabinet and around speakers.

Flipper button protectors either integral with custom or designed to suit standard side-rails.

      INLINE DROP TARGETS!!!!!!!!

Stacked Multiball modes for more points for each shot depending on which multiball modes were completed before the MB was activated (like MM). Nothing more satisfying than getting Joust-Peasant-Catapult-Damels-Troll MULTYBALL MADNESSSSS!!!!!!

Did I mention INLINE DROP TARGETS!
