Back to the Universal HV Board (Amplifone or WG6100)

The Schematic is finished, and the PCB design has been cross checked against the new Schematic

A paper print assembly is done, and I moved 1 x thing a few mm

    Pretty happy with this layout

Would like to power my Amplifone rig with an actual WG6100 HV, to see it working

Then I think we can place an order

I will likely fully assemble 10 of these for sale
Then the PCB will be sold bare as well. A parts list will be released etc then

    More to come

The universal HV board has now been tested, as well as it can be done using an assembled WG6100 HV board

I was able to get an Amplifone monitor to work using my WG6100 HV board, by adding some extra parts and mods
This proves the theory of the operation of the concept

So, after testing and checking and tweaking, the design has been ordered from the PCB manufacturer

So in summary we will have one universal High Voltage board which can be used in a WG6100 Monitor, or an amplifone monitor

Dezbaz's Arcade Parts and Projects. Things we will be doing soon - All in one...

I have ordered enough parts to make 11 complete units which are easily customised to suit Amplifone or Wells Gardner.
Each will be tested but sold without the WG flyback
Ie they will be built as required.

Universal Boards are on their way to me now

Parts are here ready for me to build

    Woo hoo

EDIT: Revamp needed, these didn't work out sorry
They worked but were not good enough to release.
Plans are to make a bigger board to allow space for extra components

New Transistor Adapters to do away with leg crossing

    Hi Guys
These are for Amplifone & WG6100 Deflection boards, and many more.
(Whenever you need to use a ECB Transistor in a EBC PCB)

For example, if you want to use the really cheap BD139 & BD140 Transistors (Pinout ECB) in place of the more expensive MPSU07 & MPSU57 (Pinout EBC) on the WG6100 & Amplifone Deflection boards

The BD139 & BD140 are proven alternatives, but the legs need twisting for them to work

They can also be used on the WG6100 HV boards
    So you can use a MJE340 in Q905. Original Part is either a S1377, 2N6557, 2N6558, 2N6559 & MPSU10
    (obsolete or really expensive)

Now you just use these adapters and use the cheaper parts, all proven to work

    Snap off what you need.
There is no copper on the bottom so they can sit flush on the PCB

The tracks are totally hidden (Multi layer boards)

They are US$5.00 for each set of 20
Shipping is US$2.50 for up to 1, 2 or 3 (sets of 20) to the US / Canada
Shipping is US$7.00 for up to 10 (sets of 20) to the US / Canada

    1 set of 20 Below

    Snap apart easily

The back has no pads or tracks, so it can't short out on PCB

    I have 50 sets of 20

Let me know if you want some

It's been a while but I have an update

CR Changers are designed and ordered to let you connect a CR23 Chassis to a CR25 Monitor

Some guys say it allows a 10 pin chassis to run an 11 pin TV Tube

This tubes are out there, though they are rare

Also ordered PCBs to make T901 transformers (on the WG6100 HV board), T1 transformers, (on Amplifone HV Boards) and a few regular CR23 to CR31 CR Changers

Both CR Changers mentioned are more compact than before

    Same as these but smaller
