TOURNEY RULES

- 10 tables chosen at random from the table nomination list using the random.org website... games will start on the weekend and go for 2 weeks

- No user-modded tables (ie play the VP forums default downloaded table, at default difficulty setting)

- No buy-ins or continues etc

- High Score must be from game played at time of competition - ie don't just post your already existing high score

- Any version of Visual Pinball may be used ie VP8, VP9, and any version of table

- you can play desktop table, or full screen table suit yourself

- Submit score by screen dump or take a pic and post in this thread. New picture for each new score.

This tourney and rules are a work in progress so things could change when we find stuff out... anyone got any ideas or suggestions at any time please share...

If you haven't nominated a table and want to join in no problems - go to the nominations thread and nominate up to 5 choices and I'll add them in.

Pinuck did the FS mod from the serpiko desktop version from memory, but he does a great job regardless.

I have more than 100 Full screen, 2-screen db2s tables on my cab, and I still think this is one of the nicest virtual tables I have seen out of all - this and Abra Ca Dabra I think I would put top 2.

The detail is incredible, down to the line of wear on the drop targets, where the ball has 'hit' them repeatedly :)

Seems a bit touchy on the tilt...

kane, if you set your x scale to 0.8925 the view will be nice and not widebody. These were mostly still built using 4:3 ratio.

Yeah another doozy. I also am fairly addicted to Bally Star Trek '79, Centigrade 37.

the version I have has a bug with the score. When you go over 99,999 it then just shows the last 3 digits, e.g 720 and I have no idea of a score

Anyone got a link to an other VP8 table?

I just tried the one from leon , JokerPoker_RC4. It worked ok.

I will try and find your version and check it.

Because they use to use text boxes for the displays, make sure you have all the fonts. Gottliebs used to have problems with scores.

This table is such a drainer. Bit boring as I am not into cards at all. The flippers need to be closer together! :)

Score 500650. I had a nice roll on this one, hopefully I can make the most out of each ball next time? Great looking table.

I happened to notice the now famous "Space Jam" table at Merewether Laundromat today Dedrok. Nice article the other day in the Newcastle Herald had me intrigued where it was. Well done and a great story!

How does the desktop version compare to the cabinet in terms of play ?

From memory , very similar as it's the same .

I will check it when I hit the cab next .... although, I could just fire it up here, but my neck gets sore quick from tilting my head.

Yeah pretty much the same but feels not as bouncy and perhaps a bit easier. Now my neck hurts.
