I ran a coil test... all worked ok. When I start a game... no flippers are working .

Can someone tell me what this might be?... not having a good run with my pins.

On start up it tells me to check switches for all the flippers.. In switch test mode flippers are working fine.

Start up the game....all flippers are dead....?????.?..??

Now this is weird.... I tried a game this morning, all was working fine. had 2 or 3 games.... then flippers went dead again.

Feels like a bad connection or something which involves all the flippers.

So we don't all have to go running for manuals and look them up how about you tell us a little more about the flipper circuit used in TAF?

Are the flipper switches leaf contacts or opto boards?

Does it use a fliptronics board to control the flippers?

Have you measured the 70V supply right at the flipper coils? (the coils work by having the + side of the suppply connected to each coil all the time and the circuitry takes the other side of the coil to ground to activate the coil) Measure this when the coils ARE NOT working as it could be a clue.

The more info you post the better response you will receive IMO.

Take all the LEDs out and try again to eliminate a bad lamp socket

Do you get any errors on startup?

Do you have metal switches on the flipper buttons, or is there a PCB?

With the game off, pull and replace all of the connectors on the board in the very top left hand side of the backbox.

I did have errors for all flipper switches on start up.... but not anymore.

I am trying to pull and replace connectors in the backbox....but cannot open lock atm.( I dont have key)

I just had a couple of games...it all working ok now...will keep it going and see if flippers go dead again.

It is the metal leaf type swithes for the flippers.

I will take out all leds if it keeps happening....

Had a similar issue ended up being the thin wires (ground I think) on the connenctors on the fliptronic board. Needed to be pushed back in their seats. Even if the switches are leaf which should be on TAF they still operate the same with fliptronic boards.
