Big Red Neo Geo Cabinet was converted to Police Trainer when arrived in Oz. Conveting in back to original Neo geo Set up. dragonlee Posted September 20, 2018 Author Share Posted September 20, 2018 Neo geo 2 slot cabaret Sneak Preview; Another project I brought as non working from the USA. No neck board on the chassis which I removed it and replaced it with a donor chassis to suit the tube in the cabinet. Complete original wiring inside..no hacking at all. Ive put all the original wiring back together including wiring the 2 slot mobo.. Happy days and fired up without any issue. All I need to fine tune the monitor and a new back door pus the monitor bezel. Hopefully over the weekend I’ll give a quick Tlc with cleaning product to clean the control panel. Sega/Gremlin Cabinet which I will convert to its original (Frogger). Its been painted black but I will strip it back to it Original color which was white so therefore it will be a White Frogger version Cabinet. Only reason I brought it because it has all the parts including the Nintendo Donkey Kong pcb board to put in a Nintendo Donkey Kong Cabinet. All original wiring and stargate pcb boards still intact in the cabinet. Changed the battery on the cpu board. Initially fired up and bang a vertical collapse.Lucky I had another the working chassis that I’ve pulled out from another conversion cabinet and swamped the faulty for the working chassis. Brought the cabinet to restore back to another Sega/Gremlin dedicated arcade game. Thinking of converting to a White frogger version or Astro Blaster or Carnival. Totally stripped all the internal wiring and the control panel which was converted to a Nintendo kit game(Street Heat). The cabinet was painted Black but luckily the paint was easily stripped off and lightly sand back to it original laminated color which was white.. Here some pics of what i have done so far. Joystick and buttons need to be installed to complete the conversion. Original G07 Monitor and complete new jamma harness Installed plus a clean Gyruss board added. Advertised it numerous time and no one wanted it so I’ve have few Nintendo mini which I’ve found a new home for them...Lol Found a set of arm controllers for the kiosk via a trade with a fellow retro collector to be installed. Tinkered with the jukebox and boom it fired up. top Monitor 24” s-video output bottom Monitor 10” arcade Monitor.
