Track & Field Dimensions

Recommended Posts

Hi

Looking at repro'ing a T&F upright cabinet and wondering if any AA members have one they could take a couple of dimensions from?

Happy to pay for your time and materials if needed..

Thanks wweumina.. I will certainly hit you up on this and appreciate the offer of help. :)

Yeah, I followed the thread closely but it's so disjointed and there are lots of measurements that are missing..

Will do guys.. Should be a great little project :D

Bought a complete game from the US that had a water damaged cabinet. The guy parted it out for me (at a cost) and sent me literally everything except the timber cabinet and the monitor. Every nut, bolt, bracket and wire..

Shipping killed me.. well, actually Mrs Hoopstar did when she found out how much it cost.. :redface

Cage has the original, working game board

Yep looks like a track and field alright. I got a box or two of full of bits of alot of games, brackets fan covers, wiring, screws, power supplys, maybe theres a track and field set in there somewhere as its the same vintage parts i have. i would like to make sure you to get this sucker 100% complete as a copy using original parts. If your missing anything let me know, i might be able to supply you with some brackets screws latchets etc. Glad your enthused to bring this great game back to life, this is what this forum is all about.

Goodluck with the dimensions i hope the forum can somehow put a spot with that information so that others can be inspired to copy important machines in an effort to conserve our hobby.

Gotta give me first dibs when you fire it up tho :D

Kind regards Ray

Wow, that's awesome Hoops, This should be awesome.

I did a similar thing with a Gyruss without the Glass and Transformer. That was Farkin' expensive to ship so I can only imagine how much yours was!!!

Well done mate :D

That's mine. Assuming the container makes it :p I'd be happy to do any measurements you'd like. There was also a thread on dragonslairfans of a guy reproing one that had a lot of info and measurements.

I saw the machine in the photos when they were loading the container and thought it looked awesome. Also thought it would be a great machine to own.

Being a 4 player game it will be great for gamine parties.. I totally sucked at the game when I was a kid..

The build will be my ode to the London Olympics

Yes, always one of my favourites. Great party game. My current mame control panel has dedicated track and field buttons with leaf switches in the original layout.

I REALLY wanted a cocktail and maybe one day I'll get one and replace this. Until then I'm very happy with the look of the upright.

  • 1 year later...

I'd be keen to see all the dimensions too./ I too have now bought pretty much all of a T&F (sans cab) and need this info for my future build.

I have a Gyruss coming in the current container which I believe shares mast dimensions, but not all.

Oops - sorry, missed this thread.

I got a T&F in the latest container and can help you out. I'm away for work for a few days, but I'll try and get to it before the weekendd.

You just need the dimensions in the first post?

That would be awesome thanks Casper..!!

Just those measurements for the time being and perhaps the 'set back of the front and top panels from the cabinet edge.

Woody - I will do the plans up and then post them in this thread for you. Gottaconnect (Dave) is also after the cab dimensions (doing the same project) so hopefully Caspers help will benefit quite a few..!! :)
