Presumably the idea is to give them an extra bowler due to Cummins' workload and Lyon's injury. But that still doesn't make sense because they can leave Cummins out and still have Hazlewood, Pattinson and Siddle knock England over cheaply. Marsh doesn't do anything those three can't. At least he's a better batsman than Khawaja. Edited by Pie Chucker

Great series for sure

very surprised by the inclusion of Marsh

even though he took some wickets and had a funny presser

he is still the most hated man in Aus. cricket for sure

Paine made a mistake by bowling first which potentially cost us a 3-1 series win

Why was bowling first a mistake? The bowlers produced plenty of catchable shots on the first morning; the fact that they were all dropped doesn't make the decision to bowl a bad one.

I'd say Shaun Marsh is probably the most hated man in Australian cricket, with Mitch a close second. Mystifyingly, James Sutherland never seems to land on that list despite doing more damage to Australian cricket than anyone else in my lifetime.

Bowling first was a HUGE mistake!

everyone knows Lord's is a batman's paradise

over 60% of wins from the last 10yrs have come from batting first which says enough about needing to bat first

pretty sure everyone in commentary box said as much

it was a bad decision

yes we dropped a few catches but i don't think that would have swayed the outcome personally

terrible crowd

What would you expect when tickets are so expensive? I just bought tickets for the Sydney test- $90 for seats that are in the sun for half the day (full shade starts at $135). With the majority of their income coming from broadcast rights, you'd think CA would be doing everything they can to provide the best pictures (and sound) for TV, and that means having the ground full. If they halved the prices and let kids in free they'd be providing their broadcasters with better service, and it probably wouldn't even cost them much in gate receipts because the higher attendance would cancel out the lower price.
