parts and where to get them

Recommended Posts

for me i mainly use www.liquidrc.com in USA, takes about 2 weeks after placing order for it to arrive at my doorstep. postage world wide is just .99 cents

(edit 2/1/2012) liquidrc.com is about to have a minor price rise as freight is going up with USPS (united states postal services)

i also get some things from www.rcmart.com they are based in Hongkong, takes about 10 days to get stuff to my doorstep

and i get stuff also from www.hobbyking.com have bought stuff from Sydney and delivered to my door in about 5 days or so.bought stuff from their hongkong office and delivered to my door in about 10 days.mind you i get the cheapest slowest delivery i can get. see no point in paying megabucks to get my stuff delivered in the blink of an eye.

oops, forgot to add, for my battery chargers, i bought them direct from hyperion australia, payed about $10 for freight, they were sent via AAE (Australian air express) payed for via credit card 2pm on a friday, arrived 11am on the monday! brilliant

For helicopter gear, I've found these two to be the best:

http://www.myrcmart.com

http://www.miracle-mart.com

Both have great prices, pack items well and despatch orders fast.

For parts and batteries, I like everybody else use Hobby King: http://www.hobbyking.com

I've also used Toys downunder for Walkera parts and they have the best pricing in Australia, fast postage too.

Club Heli is an okay US based option. They're not as price competitive with the Chinese based vendors, but they do have great customer service. Unfortunately, I don't use them much any more due to shipping costs from the US costing a lot more than it should these days.

I've also used these places once or twice before:

http://www.ehirobo.com/shop/index.php

i bought some stuff from these guys a few weeks ago just to "test the waters" so to speak.

http://rc-model.com.au/shop/

can pay via direct deposit here in Oz. their prices arent too bad, how ever they are slow to ship an order. takes 3-5 days to process your order.having said that, you can get the stuff sent registered post, so thats a good thing.

i would say they are ok, to deal with, but far, far from great to deal with. emails take about 24 hours to be answered as well. if you want something and your not in a rush for it, by all means get it here

I think http://www.helipal.com deserves a mention. Used them a number of times so far and while the prices are sometimes a tad higher I've found 95% of the time they have what I want in stock where as http://www.miracle-mart.com doesn't. Helipals shipping is always super fast too.

Having said that I just bought a T-Rex 550E 3GX from Miracle Mart and Probably saved $200, also grabbed a nice 12s lipo charger.

Another one is http://www.rcpzone.com which mostly sells Walkera parts. He's the cheapest I've come across and fast postage.

I've used Helipal before too and can vouch for their great customer service, packing and despatch. They also have the best website with loads of pictures and info about what they are selling.

Unfortunately, they are also one of the more expensive sites which keeps me away most of the time.

Edit: P.s. now that you have a balance charger you should look at this: http://www.aussiearcade.com/showthread.php/47069-FOR-SALE-Walkera-single-cell-parallel-and-serial-charging-harnesses
