18" Japanese Monitor Chassis ID

ataritoobin

Question

I've got a frame here from an 18" Japanese cocktail monitor, and am trying to figure out what chassis it might have belonged to.

The knobs would be facing you (same direction as front of CRT) when mounted to the bottom of the monitor frame.

From left to right (sort of in three groups)

V. POSI, V. HOLD, V. HEIGHT

V. LIN. H. FREQ H. HOLD H.POSI. BRIGHT.

B.GAIN G. GAIN R. GAIN

Sorry, not much to go on. Don't hear too much about 18"-ers. I'm thinking maybe a Nanao or Toei of some sort, as it has a remote degauss. Don't think it's the XM1801.

Thanks!

Thanks WOKA and spacies!

I looked at Jomac's site and didn't see anything that quite hit the spot.

If I squint really hard at this picture of the Toei TC-V820 on Bob Robert's site, this might be right. If this were installed into the frame, the flyback would be in the back, and those knobs would be up front, with the RGB on the right hand side, and grouped in numbers as described above.

I'm guessing a standard 20" chassis was used for 18" monitors?

On a whim I searched for Toei TC-V818, assuming that the 20 stood for 20".

Looks like there is a Toei TC-V818 (and a TC-V618) chassis, according to this Japanese page

I guess I'd be curious to know what the yoke requirements are for it. I can shoot Jomac a PM and see if he knows.

Anybody happen to have one for sale? :040:
