I can't think of any other way to pronounce it, what way did you think?

I always pronounced it Quix......haven't had a chance to play this yet. Been a damn long time. One thing, this game has no patterns which is why it cannot be beaten. Damn hard, frustrating but fun!

Like Brad, i always pronounced it Quix.

That's unsatisfyingly logical I suppose.

If you look at the marquee in the first post, I think it's actually spelled "Qixxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

All them tricks don't do much for your score anyway

Personally I think someone who has played 10000 games should be allowed to be on an uneven playing field due to their experience - most of that is probably hard earned $$ back in the day

Like when a game comes up that someone has never played, you would expect the experienced to win that game and the novice to bomb out

What goes around comes around

48 & 60 to 1's

Ok

I need to know something please

I just adjusted the dips on the 48 in 1 to get it close to US set 1

I notice I can only select 60 / 45 / 40 seconds (Not 37) for the spark intervals

Is that OK?

Is the 48 in 1 acceptable to use for the MGL? Speed / accuracy etc?

Cheers guys

:)

How cool would this game been if it was vector, although the shading of area's might of been difficult

They did a vector qix

Called VEX or VIX or something, for the vectrex

The lines disappeared into the background as you fill it in

Yep it's Vix, it's homebrew for the Vectrex (I have it!) but it's pretty hard to play with the vectrex analogue controller. A while back I picked up a Sega Megadrive Gamepad modded for the Vectrex, really does improve some games but loses a bit of that authentic feel that the beautiful Vectrex controllers give you :)

We should probably make MK the christmas game to appease the bulldog.

Good idea Kane,

Speaking of Christmas I was thinking we break for 2 weeks so we restart Jan 2nd ?

Have 2x Christmas games, throw the bulldog a bone and have Mortal Kombat (version?) from 19-26th, and one other game 26-2 ?

And some suggestions for the 2nd game from players ? -- something a bit different maybe but still score-based. Dragon's Lair would be my pick :) but I know that would prove hard to setup for many.

I'll submit my score for Mortal Kombat now......from work.......on my keyboard with no game running....

Wobbles joystick in random patterns whilst smashing palm against all buttons in a haphazard manner. End game, submit score....... 0

I use this technique for all fighting games :D
