JAMMA Harness question - maybe silly

Recommended Posts

Quick question about my JAMMA harness to my 60 in 1 board...

Everything is wired up so it's time to plug the harness to the board but... which way does it go?:redface

Sorry in advance if it's a stupid question, just want to get it right as it seems to fit either way and despite looking I can't see any markings.

Hi,

The jamma plug may be marked as parts side and solder side, solder side is obviously the back of the 60in1 pwb. Else see attached pinout chart and you should be able to follow the wiring to work out which side is which. I dont think the 60in1 has a keyway so I dont think that will help. Once you find the way it goes then mark it for future ref.

Just wondering is anyone has ever experienced joystick lag through JAMMA?

The P2 joystick seems to have a very slight lag on the input.

That will be your 60-in-1 board at fault, not the JAMMA harness.

JAMMA is direct-wire. There's no signal conversion like USB and later consoles. If there's lag, it's the fault of either the game or the emulation system in place.

XXX-in-1 systems are notorious for being laggy, and having poor sound.
