Question

my old faithfull rockola 468 has decided to give up on me

it seems something is sticking the play relay on so its clicking and then triggering the circuit breaker

anyone had much experience in this sorta field

if not told the mrs ill wack a few $$ on it and put it on ebay records and all and buy a arcade cab instead

what happened was i was playing a selection it was all good. came to check the machine and one song had stopped 1/2 way when i reset the machine the song plays and the play relay is clicking continously. Also cant change the record

all contacts in the relays are clean is there anyway of testing the coils in them?

I reconditioned one of those for my old man a few years back. After using it for a while it started to randomly blow fuses, we took the power supply apart and replaced the two big old capacitors in it and now it runs sweet. I have a service manual for it at my parents place,it just so happens I am visiting them this week so I could have a quick look through it if you like and see if I can give you a few more tips?? Let me know.

ive got nfi if its the relays or not. they do look ok visually

its odd as when it trips the circuit and you reset its stuck like a song is playing but nothing is turning (amp is on)
