Links to Arcade Resources

Recommended Posts

When i first started getting interested again in setting up an arcade machine, ie Pacman Cocktail, after playing the old classics on mame for a while, i started to look for sources of information and parts, which inevitable lead me to AA :D, and more recently to this list of resources. If you can think of any others to add to this list, please do!

The hardest thing for me was to have to go through the same search routines as probably most new arcaders do, that is the hunt for parts and artwork suppliers. Well newbies, here are the starting lists of all starting lists! (Unless someone else has a better list somewhere here on AA of course!)

The Links List:

The Aussie Arcade Links Page: http://www.aussiearcade.com/links

NOTE: CAVEAT EMPTOR applies to any links mentioned in this post and do not imply recommendations good or bad. if i have seen mention of an issue during the compiling list on this day, i'll note it. if you have a had good buying experience with any of the vendors, let everyone know!

brett,

thanks for the info! great to get some extra feedback - although its already there with a deep link under "Pinouts, dipswitches, manuals, PCB photos". i shld prob should only post home pages rather than deep links that can get broken.

Edit: forgot there was a second post (the overflow) - added in there for you!

time to break it down into separate posts as i've hit the magic 20k char limit :cryso cant really add any more to that post.

cheers!

xmas bump! added some extra links.

got any new ones to add?

how about posting here any sites that are broken - ie no longer avaialble such as geocities sites and a few of those other portal sites that dumped all their members data and folded....

or game related sites that just vanished from the big W ?

it might prompt someone to note mirrors for those sites or backups people might have taken...

Another link to add here is http://www.electricalwholesales.com.au/

These guys have brass link bars (found them hard to come by elsewhere). Great for earthing things in a cab at a single point. Good variety in sizes and pricing is OK.

I ordered one earlier in the week and it arrived within 2 days - so I'm happy with their service and can recommend them.

I just used a local printer in Hallam (Victoria) to produce some artwork for my cab screen. I'm really happy with the result, so thought I would share for anyone else who is looking to get some art printed off locally.

J & J Peiper Signs

I found them great to deal with and would recommend them.

Guys don't forget to add any useful links to the AA Links Directory HERE

hey trav, would you be able to do a bulk import of links to your database if i format the data appropriately ? would be a lot quicker than individual postings to the directory (would take me forever)

if you can, lmk the format you want them in etc!
