Advice of price for selling.

DKong

Recommended Posts

I am going to sell this Cocktail (long story short) dog did his ACL and now have to pay for it, I don't have the moneyready so something has to go ( and not him), and was wondering what a good starting/asking price would be for one of my treasures . Don't want to rip myself off, as i have been told by a few people to hang onto it. Without hyping it up here are some pics and what do guys think its worth before I throw it to the Ebay

Big 20" screen... Got to be worth an EASY $650.00. Hankins go for more, but this LAI looks to be in really ORIGINAL condition. Nice.

I like the access into the machine, nice and clean, uncluttered.

Hopfully worth more though.

Nice looking cocktail with the big screen, I would say beacause its DK only then maybe $600 / $700.

Maybe $100 more if it were Galaga.

Here is a suggestion. Grab a 48 in 1 which are cheap as chips at the moment ( less than $200) and whack it in with a Jamma harness. Hey presto you now have 48 games which will make it so more appealing because there will be a game there that will be evryones favourite and it will be easier to sell especially with xmas about 2 weeks away.

I'd say after cost of a 48/1 board you will easily get at least $300/$400 more and the good thing is you can keep your trusty old DK board for when you can afford a new cab.

Great idea.

Keep the DK PCB for yourself.

Sorry to hear about your dog.

Kong

Dkong ... if you interested in getting rid of it for around the $700 mark,I would be keen to buy it...it would cost me about another $200 to get it boxed & delivered to King Island ...which makes it a bit expensive ...but the way i look at it is its Easier to find $900 bucks than it is to find one of those machines .

PM me your phone no if you are interested & we will have a chat about it .

Thanks for the advice and offers. I have decided to keep it and arranged a payment plan with the vet for his medical expenses (easier to pay back this way than tracking down another Cocktail like this in the future) I just couldn't bring myself to part with it.

Mate ..im glad you kept it ..as i said its easier to find some money then it is to find a machine like that .

Very true, that advice swayed me. Cheers for talking some sense into me!:)

I think I might put a 48 in 1 in it and store the original PCB away, so it gets a bit more use.
