IFPA Women's Advisory Board

Recommended Posts

Probably the coolest news in Pinball all year. In case you missed it: https://www.ifpapinball.com/ifpa-launches-ifpa-womens-advisory-board/

Belles & Chimes Melbourne already got em on speed dial. We had lots to chat about...

But for now I dont want to take away from the fact that IFPA now actually has a Women's Advisory board! WOOOOOO

Yes it is good Jess @DeMac, to see that women can have their say on this important topic.

I just want to ensure that we also acknowledge all the tournament directors (TD's) who also play a huge part in furthering competitive pinball for women who already run women's division events.

Belles and Chimes and other women's division events have been run by quite a few TD's in the past couple of years and it is slowly gaining traction.

Having open and respectful dialogue should only help further how women see themselves in a sport which, in the past, has usually been heavily dominated by men.

A little off topic, however, in the United States, Savannah Sellers from NBC's Today show, went to Lyman's Tavern in Washington DC to film "How pinball is making a comeback" which showcases women playing pinball.

Great to see this get some air time. :023:
