Administrators Arcade King Posted September 30, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 30, 2019 How did I miss this? Just incredible in 2018-2019 there's A++ games being developed for the C64 on this caliber. I just bought a copy from https://www.protovision.games/index.php?language=en Going to play it now! Administrators Arcade King Posted September 30, 2019 Author Administrators Share Posted September 30, 2019 Played it for about an hour last night, it's very Mario 3ish with its own twist. Sam has little costumes he swaps into that gives him different abilities. Controls are tight, graphics are fantastic and its nice to see bright colours in a C64 game instead of the usual muddy pallet, hell even the Mrs was playing it and she never plays anything with me. Sent from my AGM A8 using Tapatalk Not sure about C64 but there is one for the Atari 8 bit called Yamo Revenge. I came across it yesterday while looking for new games. http://www.indieretronews.com/2019/07/yamo-revenge-action-platformer.html

darkjedi
Also obligatory mention of Galencia for the C64 too: https://galencia.itch.io/galencia It's from 2017, but is the best port of Galaga on the system by a long shot. One of my absolute favourite shooters on the system, and a go to for any conventions or expos I help out with - even has a tournament mode built in (because I asked for it :D )
Administrators Arcade King Posted October 10, 2019 Author Administrators Share Posted October 10, 2019 Got my boxed copy of Sam's Journey in the mail today, just 10/10 quality. The little chest with the jewels in it is a nice touch.
