Glenn70
Medieval Madness One of my favourite titles, so very thrilled to now have this in my small collection. My recent sale of GOTG has greatly assisted to finance this. I call it an ‘Aussie Medieval Madness Remake’. Originally a NBA Fastbreak cabinet, I fully stripped, repaired, restored and re-decaled this donor 1997 cabinet to now represent a fine looking MM and ready for the newly built playfield. The Mirco playfield has entirely brand new parts fitted on top and less than a handful of non-new parts fitted below. Williams has previously used ‘already decaled’ cabinets to turn into other titles, so what has been done here is not really something that different to what has been done before. The AV board is new and the remaining boards from the NBA Fastbreak have been checked and serviced. Obviously I don’t have the knowledge to just build myself a populated playfield, so Mark and the team at PSPA put together a playfield that was only just completed last weekend. I did however get to assist and learn along the way. At least I can now say I helped build the playfield! I finally took possession of the machine yesterday, after plenty of testing, tweaking, adjusting and play testing over the last few days, including today. @PinballGod even rocked up today after his 90 min drive to play test it. As a fan of toppers, I have added my own hand painted and modified topper in addition to some protectors sourced from Cliffy, some plastic ‘PET’ washers to help protect the sling plastics from @BioBa and new Ninja balls, thanks to @Que200. The rest of the machine I wanted to keep as original looking as I could. Black powder coated trim and legs were originally my choice but decided against this. I realise and accept it will never be an ‘original’ MM, but it definitely feels and plays like an original and I am more than happy with this. Next project is another favourite - Cactus Canyon in 2020. - - - Updated - - - Set up and in place......... flynnyfalcon
Well F me!! What an amazing effort! You must be incredibly proud to have built this beautiful machine. Kudos to you and enjoy!
ddstoys
Very nice I think I was lucky enough to see this cabinet in the flesh and the quality is over the top. Well done Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DallasJ
I've also seen the cab pre the play-field though and it's a really nice finish. The small details on the finish and the sticker on the back box back, internal black of the cabinet finish it so well. I'll be hitting you up for a game Glenn ;)
newy16216
Looks awesome mate you've put a few hours into this one and it shows , also good to see you let your love affair with stern go and come back b/w , fingers crossed she doesn't cause you any trouble 😂

Yes Chris a lot of work. I put over 45hrs into the cab alone. The playfield was done by the boys at PSPA and I just assisted near the end. They really smashed it indeed. Thanks for the comments. - - - Updated - - - Looks awesome mate you've put a few hours into this one and it shows , also good to see you let your love affair with stern go and come back b/w , fingers crossed she doesn't cause you any trouble Ha Ha B/W, yes. They were, and still remain some of my favourite games. But the new ones - Stern, JJP, etc are so good too. I am truly torn between the old and new. This one though is basically new so I have the best of both worlds. I am going to put 50 games on it (as soon as possible I hope) and then address any little issues I am expecting, as it must 'wear in'.

pinball god
I came, I conquered grand champion, and left. The game looks stunning, cannot falter the pf in looks, quality and performance. The ramps were as smooth as butter, trolls were nicer to the player than what I remembered, and the cab work was as good as these high end restorer guys. Now I may cop it here, but it played better than any remake I have played and most of the mmr were on site. The game played tight and smooth as. Was it worth my 180 minute drive.? Hell yeah. A special mention to Glenn's walking dead. Best example I have played. I don't recall the ramp shots flowing so smoothly and it not being a drain monster. It's got me wanting one again Thanks Glenn for the opportunity and well done on all the work and effort put into this mm. And the topper is the best too. Congrats

Congrats Thanks mate, really appreciate the comments. You played very well and it will take some games under my belt to beat you. Like I said, I am expecting a few issues to arise once things get used and bedded in but to be expected. Been really busy since you left and about to head out to garage to install the anti-glare filter. Thanks for calling in and glad you got back safely. - - - Updated - - - Nice work Glenn and to your team. I only played it for the first time about 4 years ago and fell in love straight away. So far it's playing very well. - - - Updated - - - The only thing I have noticed is quite a number of airballs off the yellow targets either side of the drawbridge/castle entrance. Even more than GB! I am thinking of making my own air-ball deflector like I did for GB. Anyone have this same issue with airballs on this title?

Is there any foam cubes behind the targets to soften the blow and if need be adjust the switches closer if you have to add foam blocks. Thinking they may have way too much flex enough to traject the ball upwards.
