Yeah was great on the C64 at the time Stupid tape drive load faster
I loaded it up in emulator for a reminder of how good it was.
It may be an older me but it didn't seem half as good as 14 year old me thought it was
The best action is wrist action!!!!!!

Of course we're used to far batter games these days but back then remember some of those games? Some were truly awful and others, given the tech were fantastic.

The C64 wins hands down. The 16 bits versions on the ST and Amiga are just bland.

As I said in my video my prepubescent 14-year-old self thought this was the greatest game ever, however I think is still fun to play even now 30 years later

This was such an exciting game on the c64. The decapitation move was a golden moment in gaming for me too.

You could get right through the game just with two moves. Roll attack and low slash.

Playing against a friend is where it was the most fun. You can't beat chopping off your friend's head! With my group of friends we played a lot of 2 player barbarian and 4 player ebonstar on the amiga.

I didnt know about the Genesis port, or Barbarian plus. Will check these out.

    Thanks for another great video!
