I am rather tired of the my generic notification sounds and was wondering if anyone had a good resource of short pinball related sounds in MP4 format I could use as text, email, AA (when it works) & ringtones notifications.... You can ask it to dump out audio to a file (I think it's F5 to toggle this on and off) and you can also go in to sound test mode that's way beyond the normal sound test supported in the ROM itself (I think it's F4). Find the sound file you want, hit the dump hot key, play sound, hit hotkey again, then clean up the output in Audacity, convert it to the appropriate format and push the files to your phone. It's copyright material. I wouldn't distribute it, but a howto more detailed than what I just wrote might be nice. - - - Updated - - - BTW, some games people have already mapped names to the IDs, others not. So you have to make your own which is a bit tedious. These mappings could perhaps be shared. Michi Posted February 25, 2019 Share Posted February 25, 2019 (edited) For iPhones, you can use iTunes to create custom ring tones and alert sounds: https://ios.gadgethacks.com/how-to/make-custom-text-tones-for-your-iphone-using-itunes-0188406/ GarageBand used to support this, too. I'm not sure whether it still does; I haven't changed my ringtone in years. A bit of googling will get you there. If you don't want to muck around with dumping sound out of the ROMs, just use the sound test menu to play a sting you want to use and record it with your favourite voice recording app. Then use iTunes to turn it into an alert sound.
