symonz
I saw videos on YouTube on making your own acrylics and read threads of AA’ers making them so I thought I’d give it a try :D First I wanted to change the toy box drop plastic on Aerosmith from clear to fluro green. An A4 3mm sheet $8 from eBay, plastic traced then cut out using an Ozito dremel $39 from Bunnings. Holes were drilled by clamping cuts to wood and dab of wd40 on drillbit. Finish with wet/dry sanding with wd40. Took a while to get comfortable using the dremel but in the end it wasn’t that difficult to make. The fluro green seems to glow even when the pin is off I nabbed a full set of the Batman Hotwheels Classics from eBay for a great price, so now it was onto making plastics to mount them. I didn’t want to obstruct the view so it took a while to work out where I would place them and how to cut each shape. These were then bent into shape using a heat gun, 20 seconds is all you need to make the plastic workable. Before Batbike Batcopter Ran out of metal posts to raise this plastic, so for now the batmobile and batboat can hang down low Pleased with the end result from an afternoon of modding Cheers
