Any interest in Taito TC0070RGB Replacements

Kaizen

Question

I need a couple of these for my Chase HQ boards, just seeing if there's anyone else that's in need of one or two.

I'm going to send the PCB files off to the board house shortly and will order 10 if there's any interest.

If not then I'll just order 5 for myself.

The bare boards will cost about $5 each and will need two gals which I'll also order for each board that's fabricated.

I can program the GAL's when they arrive and there's also a handful of other components needed.

See link below for an overview, no profit to be made on these so everything will be supplied at cost.

Rough cost of components...

PCB - $5.00 ea (1)

GAL20V8 - $0.40-0.50 ea (2)

C1815 Transistor $0.01 each (3)

Resistors - $0.01 ea (16)

Total cost per board is approximately $6.20.

That's to supply all the parts then add postage on top.

All credit goes to Macro for making this product freely available.

I can assemble these for free for Veteran or Supporter AA members.

I won't give any guarantees but will test on a working chase HQ PCB.

Kaizen!

I have made a few, that I cannot test as the boards they were for have more than just those as issues - I can send you a couple to try out? Or the components to make your own?

Let me know :)

@wyldcat34

The boards arrived today and I pulled the suspect custom from one of my faulty Chase HQ boards, there were about five broken legs when I removed it.

This was what the screen looked like with the old custom...

I've tested the first one and all looks good.

My board has other graphics issues so I'll dig out my fully working Cadash PCB and test them on that.

Heya Kaizen,

Havent seen anything more posted or heard from you - how did they all work out?

Cheers

Yeah it's been a hectic two weeks, I only tested the first one on my partially working board (as seen in above post) but it seemed like it worked perfectly.

I'll test the other one on the weekend and get them back to you.
