    Not the first SEGA/Whitestar Ive seen it on.

    Tends to be on motors etc. There are about 3 in Apollo 13, seen them on Stern Playboys as well.

    Either an old Neon globe or a Mercury tilt switch globe. A bit hard to tell from the photo. I'll settle on it being a neon globe to absorb over currant from something.

    You're all correct, seems like its a neon globe.
    Surprisingly most electronic shops still stock them as they seem to be used in some of their high-school kits.
