As we are a bit pinball mad up here in QLD, there will be a few other events a few days before and after.

For those looking at getting in early:

Tues 17th July - Brisbane Pinball Club meet at Netherworld

Wed 18th July - Coolangatta Pinball Club meet at Timezone Coolangatta

Next day after Brisbane Masters:

Mon 23rd July - 2 Strikes group elimination at Pincadia

55 players on the list, still 6 months out?!

This is going to be HUGE. Really looking forward to it.

Found a potential site yesterday capable of holding 40 machines easy. If we can get the support of everyone to get that many in the building we can break 126. Might be a cheeky surprise coming for the Thursday night too.

They are definitely on track to surpass last years attendance, which I think was a record in Australia!?

 

I'm sure there have been other large IFPA tourneys that I haven't been to, e.g. the Queensland Open which had 53, 57 & 59 players in 2015, 16 & 17.

 

The largest IFPA tourneys I've been to in Australia in terms of players are:

 

52 - Pixel Alley 1/12/14 - amazing for a monthly event! (one that you TD Luke)

55 - Batcave Masters, Pingolf 13/5/16

59 - Batcave Masters, Main Event 14-15/5/16

61 - Batcave Masters, Classics 13-15/5/16

61 - Timezone Cooly Classic, Main Event 1/4/17

73 - Brisbane Masters, 3-Strikes 21/7/17

79 - Brisbane Masters, Main Event 22-23/7/17

 

I note so far that almost half the field (at least 23) are interstaters and that SA already has 5 listed.

 

Not sure if I can get up there again, if not I hope all goes well.
