New pin day! Soon to be restoration thread.

System 11's are just great fun. These were the new games around when I was young and I find myself drawn to them.

No sinking institute unfortunately Jeff.

I had to put my restored playboy on the chopping block to get it but no regrets as playboy was just an art piece. I never played it. This will cop a hiding.

New pin day! Soon to be restoration thread.

So while I've been playing this one to death, I've been mucking around with the spare playfield that came with it.

What I'm starting with.

Starting to put some colour back. Still a bit to go but I'm on the way.

Nothing wrong with that I don't think...Repair them, Play them , get sick of them and move them on....Next...

I'd prefer to have owned 50 than to own the same 10 indefinitely to tell you the truth.

If they were that good and you didn't get board with them, operators would have never needed to rotate pinballs and upgrade there old pieces aye.

The white needed to be done on this one. It was yellowing a bit. Makes a huge difference to the Gi when it's a nice reflective white.

Called in to see my mate who does my clearcoats today. After a one coat and a slight sand I've lost a couple of key lines around the 10 and 20 ramp miles and the three X. He has put a second coat on but I'll touch them back up before a final coat or two. There is a lot of dust on this and someone has been rubbing there hand on it. 25fcb345edb4ec80bfc1a7ba8aa164ba.jpg

Here are a few shots of the project ahead. c24dccc68ff36769659ca0e57def5f99.jpgde9ec9b429f2b06bfb010702bff1148a.jpgb978a547ae82ba28597504fc24e9a7cb.jpg76e2bc8a126fc699951f1e8f9b19bc14.jpgd34b53046ad37a1cbc71cf8b9796f9c3.jpg60196ebe3c59406519d05025309bd9c9.jpgb45af4e9bb2dd8e41e62355cbeb0f8d5.jpg

I love that someone decided to put a remote battery holder on and then zip tie it to the area it’s supposed to be removed from. Ah hello?

Compared to some I’ve tackled, this one should be reasonably straight forward.

Let the fun begin!

I didn’t take any pics of the cabinet work as it was a pretty straight forward tidy up.

These legs are destined for another pin but after using them to prop this one up I actually don’t mind the black. Maybe I’ll use this opportunity to ask if anyone has some short ribbed sys 11 legs out there?

I just love a fresh cabinet. a2bc7ff301d313658b380b98ba9f53e2.jpg28433c2c62f56cb0d2598d4811d7be2e.jpg8fb4e9079347d576859968af701a824c.jpg1f389a6ac86715629a203d53d3613a72.jpge3da34b771b8caf108556647451440b4.jpg
