Also with regard to the transformer with Gottlieb if a machine was destined for Australia or the UK that plug was fitted for the dual transformer. Sent from my SM-G930F using Aussie Arcade mobile app Sorry I’ve only just seen this post, but I agree I think there should be a spring somewhere and I guess whoever removed the bells removed the springs as well, I’ll put it out there again if anyone has a similar set up could you please take a quick pic of it for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rob1966
Gotlieb Funland I have done very little to nothing on this for weeks my mind has just been in a different place as my mother’s health has been declining in the past few months and I don’t think she’s got long to go. But enough of the bad stuff I thought I would have a break from the hospital and nursing home visits and just have some me time. So from where I left off I have just about recreated all the instruction/information cards and with the help of Peter (inkonito) Also have the hard to source motor switch positions card. Some of the cards were so bad I had to get online and search around for similar cards so I could see what was written on them. https://i.imgur.com/jHUqHPa.jpg https://i.imgur.com/jtplMAP.jpg I was going to go all neat and laminate them and glue them down but decided to go as per factory and just roughly staple them on I think it looks a bit more original that way, also decided not to go with a white card I actually did print them out in white but they just didn’t look right. https://i.imgur.com/LUK5KlJ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/7LJ4Wkm.jpg Now that I have the bike stands that I ordered off EBay. I have also now started on the playfield clean up (which is a work in progress) and the playfield strip down. https://i.imgur.com/k52s4l7.jpg I’ve removed the wooden playfield ball guides and all three are going to be sanded back and re lacquered. https://i.imgur.com/tVb9Gwh.jpg Well that’s it for now and progress is going to be slow because I have a lot more important family stuff on at the moment, but It was fun getting back into it. Rob1966
Had the day off today lucky hey 42degrees here today in the Latrobe Valley, so thought I would finally get this new door fitted. How can anyone not love a new Steve Young Pinball Recourse door for these old girls. https://i.imgur.com/YNJYwX1.jpg Also with the new door you have to change the coin reject rods, so three new rods have been fitted as has a new red anodised credit button to make it all pop. https://i.imgur.com/LsaHfRv.jpg New coin flap and also fitted brand new lock to the front door. https://i.imgur.com/w5lcy1l.jpg And it’s still going to have all it’s working coin mechs I hate games on free play I love putting a coin in things and watching them pop into life. https://i.imgur.com/iYecFvK.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Glenn70
Easier to post a comment than to 'like' every post! Absolutely ripper job on this restore. Love the new door, love the cab, love the coin mechs still fitted and working as I think it's a great idea to still put 20c (I assume) into her! Love the thread. Well done and very inspirational. I have just started doing a full restore on 2 x Medieval Madness cabs and reading this just makes me want to get home from work and continue all through the night. Mine are usually missing most of the stuff on the mech and door... Standard mechanical mechs fit which come up from time to time (e.g. Brett Goodwin just posted a bunch of facebook a few days ago in the oz wide pinball buy swap sell group), and if there's more stuff missing off the inside of the door, post pictures up and someone here or pbresource may be able to help. Rob1966
Had the day off today so got a little bit more of this very slow resto done. So the upper playfield is completely stripped now and I’ve cleaned most of the gunk that had built up over so much time in storage. I have to say the playfield cleaning is the part that I have hated the most, I’m still not happy with it but believe me when I say it’s a huge improvement to what is was, I’ll try give it one more go over at cleaning but I don’t want to go at it to hard because I’m worried that I’ll start taking paint off. After that I’ll hit it with a few coats of wax to give it a shine. https://i.imgur.com/hOgGmv0.jpg I would also like to give the painted area under the pop bumpers a bit of a touch up but I’m not sure how to go about it any ideas fellas? I have heard of specially made stick on coloured Mylar rings has anyone tried these ? https://i.imgur.com/Ecbev28.jpg https://i.imgur.com/sOGvhLC.jpg I also think it’s those little touches that make a big difference so decided to replace the two bullseye targets with new PBR ones, there a bit of a prick to change actually you have to first drill out the old rivets which were really hard they kept blunting my drill bits. https://i.imgur.com/xIsLR2C.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HPJw6WL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qXt3QH7.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8WmHaRU.jpg But it’s worth it they just look so much better with the new bullseyes https://i.imgur.com/qhnCuwM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wFNO1ou.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
kimbleseven
Bulls eye rivets - Rob the rivets look different than other rivets ive used in the past. Is there a special tool you need other than a rivet gun? Usially there is a small guide that i slide the gun onto first. How does that work?
