Surely there shouldn't a script just pull the field "Arcade,Pinball and console machines you own" from all users profile and put it in a post/link? I am happy to continue updating the thread manually until a decision is made either way. Here are some things to consider: - Each post has a maximum character limit, which is why there are multiple posts to cover the entire list. The script will need to do this splitting too. - The "Arcade, Pinball and console machines you own" field is not just for pinball, so it will no longer be a "Pinball owners list" or an "Arcade machine owners list" but a combined "Machines list". It may be difficult to determine what a machine is if an abbreviation is used or the types of machines are not grouped together. Currently, I do some sorting and renaming of the pinball machines to make it easier to read, and to reduce the character count where possible. - It may not be a problem, but people might not like the idea of having to update both the thread and their profile to have the list updated. Would you be thinking the script is just run periodically to pick up the changes, so members no longer have to post in the thread at all? That would work, but often I think members like to inform others of the changes to their line-up. If there was a way to highlight those changes in the results, that would be super. - Perhaps the mods could split the profile field into 3 fields - Pinball, Arcade & Console - and 3 separate threads show the results?
