What retro stuff did you add to your stash this week?

Recommended Posts

I've actually had this for a while so I thought I should give it a clean and test the carts I've got.

Luckily with a bit of connector cleaning it all works well. It's now part of my small console collection.

Yes that's a reproduction label on the cartridge. Unfortunately there wasn't much of the original label left.

A bit of a mixture from a local swapmeet.

$25 the lot.

Gotta love that phone for $5.

I got lucky, I had a charger for the Nokia 9210 in a box in the shed and the battery seems to be holding a charge.[emoji16] It just had the SIM and memory card cover missing but EBay came to the rescue with that. The robot had a bit of corrosion in the battery box but it cleaned up easily and works perfectly. The Skylanders box is still sealed.

Sure you didn't buy the robot out of Disneys "Black Hole" Movie :D

Oh if you ever find a Nokia Brick phone, let me know....

The old Nokia phones have a lot of nostalgia content in my books.

Picked this up locally today thanks to Big Trev giving me a heads up: a Sophia Systems Sega Saturn development kit, along with the SGL developers manual. This belonged to Sega Australia and apparently was used by the guy named in the manual as a part of work he was doing with interactive movies on the Saturn. Is dirty from years of storage, but good chance it’ll be fine once cleaned up!IMG_2459.thumb.jpg.4f68236f909ac3a6de4b5b7350247a94.jpgIMG_2472.thumb.jpg.3f0e5f02c31663bf28f356f5ec408a48.jpg

Just don’t message someone via the spreadsheet app and expect a response :)

Another piece for my 486 dos machine. The belt was goo for the disk drive.

The QD drive in there are 2.8" same as the Famicom. I order some belts however an Amstrad/Spectrum 3" dick drive belt fits just fine.

Interesting drive, both the head is driven off the spindle, there's no stepper motor. I'm guessing these things record music on the fly?

I have an MT-100 as well for Roland sound in DOS games, I don't use the disk drive though, i think it's just for saving your work when composing music which I wouldn't think anyone would want to do with one of these anymore.
