*** WORLD VIDEO GAMING CHALLENGE - TWIN GALAXIES - submit your scores ***

Did they say that you were from Oregon, USA for your Terra Cresta score? What's up with that, more TG hiccups I suppose :017:

I was pleasantly surprised to see that post. Yes apparently I am from Placeville Oregon. (PS There is no Placeville in Oregon, but there is a Placerville)

It is deliberate from what I can tell, as I have noticed others with World Records announced on the show have locations like Ghost Town and Never Give Up. I think it adds humour to the show. The show has improved a lot in presentation and format over the last few months. I like the Saturday Night Live opening, the set is much better, the music and effects are better, and the content has improved. It's a better show now, and I have noticed the number of views has improved dramatically, which is good to see for video gaming.

Just a quick suggestion, if you put up a score on TG that needs adjudication - might be a good idea to post a link to those scores as I'm doing right now for two scores I put up tonight:

http://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/172645-M-A-M-E-Frogger-Points-Tournament-Settings-31-560-John-McNeill

http://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/172647-M-A-M-E-Moon-Patrol-Points-75-960-John-McNeill

We all know each other here, and know pretty much that none of us would try to pull a fast one and cheat TG and risk a perma-ban - so it could be an easy way to highlight that you have a legit score up for others to vote on and get submission points.

Both the above scores are legit as far as I know, but do wait for someone to run the INP checks before voting yes on them just incase I stuffed something up with settings or a ROM file.

And because I'm lazy and don't check out TG as much as I should - just do a [ MENTION ] on John73 if you want me to check out a score. Several scores by the better known players have been adjudicated within days because eveyone knows they are legit players and they get heaps of Yes votes off that bat.

Barra and MameShane have had a couple of scores lingering for a while -

Nice idea. Netherworld have both Frogger and Moon Patrol like your MAME submissions. I guess the Frogger and Moon Patrol at Netherworld are both not original hardware or set at TG settings?

Otherwise I would have thought you might submit arcade scores too ... :unsure

A few people have Ghost Town as a location if they live in or near Chicago because of the Galloping Ghost Arcade. I think they mainly just read what you have on your profile or will message you and ask you what info to say. Or they will ask if you want to provide a picture of yourself, or to just use your avatar.

Both I believe are 60-in-1's but I could be wrong, they might be another x-in-1 type board or even bootlegs.

The good news is that I have it from a reliable source that the Moon Patrol will soon have it's own dedicated and original Williams board in it, which is required for TG as you would know. Then it's just a matter of me distracting the bar staff while I try to sneak the machine out of the place and onto the back of my ute :) It really is a nicely put together machine that one.

Gaming. With a bit of life in between. Ask JasonV91 or bigredbird.

They both might be able to give you some hints

OK then, I will. Hey @bigredbird ... what's happening in Mr Do! land .... and what is Andrew up to now?

I might have to make a trip up north if they get a Williams board in their Moon Patrol!

Funny story…. after only getting 50k ish playing casually in the past, then having a peep at other people playing on youtube, I realised that the previous

owner of my moon patrol lowboy had the wrong wire hooked up to the joystick left (brakes on moon patrol). After fixing that, and having brakes for the first time, my first few games were all 75 to 80k.

I know I can do heaps better and would love to get some tips?

Check this out.

We played Moon Patrol in the last MGL. You should find a few tips here.

Just submitted a high score for arcade SF2:WW: EDIT, am I allowed to link to the voting thread?

Not sure how it'll go, never done this before :)

Just saw your post and that's a terrific score on SF2:WW

I haven't had a chance to look at the game play yet and I hope the recording is OK.

Linking to the voting thread is fine ... in fact I'll add it to this post so others can find it ... http://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/173382-Arcade-Street-Fighter-II-The-World-Warrior-Points-Tournament-Settings-1-324-700-Evan-Weston?p=905841#post905841

http://i.imgur.com/xB72xgb.png

I'll add your introduction as well ...

Hi TG,

I have never submitted a score on here before so apologies if I have done something incorrectly. I have recently gotten out my SF2 board to play with my son and have been getting some ok scores so I thought I would start to record some and see if I can get them submitted on here.

Awesome score Evan!

Let's see how it goes in adjudication at TG ...

Thanks :) Let me know if there is anything obvious I can do to improve on what/how I've submitted. I am consistently beating the game and only missing out on one or two perfects now. I hope to beat this score soon!

I noticed that for MAME on there they play on version 910522, should I be upgrading my board to that?
