  1. Digging this up out of the archive. Finally come to the conclusion I will never do anything with this so it's gotta go. Just been sitting in my garage under cover for too many years now. No change in description since original post. Price $450.
  2. If you want photos of something particular let me know.

  5. I will post some pics tomorrow night when I get home.
  6. I should up-date the thread. Countdown is sold. Still have the Grand Prix (but there is some interest). Dealers Choice still available.
  7. Thanks for all the responses. Leaning towards XBox One S at this stage.
  8. Hi All This is not my usual section, so please be gentle. A quick background, if you will bear with me. I am, lets say middle aged, (more like 2/3 aged), I don't play games, I am not a gamer, I know almost zilch about modern consoles. HOWEVER, years ago I bought my young at the time sons a brand new N64. They loved it, I thought MEH! Bought them lots of games as time went on. Weirdly I started playing one called Banjo Kazooie, and I swear I didn't put it down for a month! No interest in anything else until I started hanging out for Banjo Tooie. Again hooked until I finished it. Many allnighters. Years later, I heard about Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, so I went straight and bought a XBox 360 and the game (utter crap). I never played a single game, but my now older boys loved the Xbox and many games over the following years. However I HATE those stupid FPS kill everything and everyone in sight games, so no interest whatsoever. Cut to now, about 2 years ago I heard about a Kickstarter fund for a new game Yooka Laylee, by the same design team as BK & BT from Rareware. So ponied up my $200 for the game and a bunch of goodies. The Kickstarter was a massive success and now it is coming to the pointy end and I need to make a call. As part of my package I will get a PC version of the game (curious but probably will never use it, BUT I need to decide on a console format. My dilemma is this. My boys have grown and moved on, so they aren't really into new console games that much any more, so no advice from them. So, I guess my question is, What is the best console to get, XBone or PS4, and which model of those is the best to get. Remember I am starting from a base of near zero knowledge about these and will probably not use it for many other games (unless one of my boys gets interested again) but will use some of the other features. I realize it's subjective, but I haven't kept up with developments so don't know what features I should look out for. Will be playing on a 10 year old (but good) panasonic 40" plasma, or a 4 year old middling 50" lg. Gut feel is towards a XBone, because I think the older 360 games will run on it? but I want future proof as much as possible. Is there a new wiz-bang model coming soon I should wait for? Elite model ? SSd model"? Price guide? Best place to buy? (not a great fan of EB Games, but if that is how it has to be!) Any advice / guidance is much appreciated. Wolfy
  9. As part of my "makin some room" excercise, I have decided to sell my prized model ship in a case. This is a scratch built museum quality timber model of pirate Captain Kidd's "Adventure Galley". Not sure of exact age, but it spent 30 odd years as a display piece in a shop at Nambucca Heads in NSW, the owners buying it from an antique dealer at the time. It is truly magnificent work, and must be seen to be appreciated. It is about 1.3m long, 1.2m high, 0.3m wide. On the stand it is about 2m tall. Thought I would offer it here first, because you never know the unusual stuff some people collect besides pinball! Looking for around $2000. (Sorry for the sideways pictures!!) Wolfy
  10. Here are a few photos of the Countdown for all those asking. Seems easier than replying individually. (I cant seem to, (or figure out how to), attach photos to pm replies!) If anyone wants hi-res of any particular area, pm me your email address and I will send them that way. Wolfy
  11. May be. Next time you're free, why don't you come past Kotara and I'll take it for a test run. Meant to catch up at Pinfest.
  12. After a bit of soul searching, have decided to move a few of my machines. I need some space back! Williams - 4 player EM - Dealers Choice -nice playfield, good cabinet, poor backglass, plays very well Overall I reckon 7/10. $1300 - needs a lock-down bar. Gottlieb - Sys 1- Countdown -nice playfield (needs a good clean), reasonable cabinet, very good backglass. Wear between top kick-out hole and top bumper (as on most machines). - new (4 years ago) rottenndog power board (not a ni-wumpf board) - cpu board serviced by Skybeaux about 4 years ago but very few games played since. Plays beautifully. Overall 8/10. $2000 -can throw in a new Ni-wumpf cpu board (its laying around here somewhere when I find it) for an extra $200. Williams -4 Player EM - (1976) - Grand Prix -Beautiful playfield - no wear that I can see, Brand new BG Resto backglass, excellent cabinet. Head box has some furring around the edges. -Nice original machine- 2 of the drop targets will need new plastic. 1 sling plastic is cracked. Overall 8+/10. $1600 Photos on request. More detail on request. Wolfy
  13. Was feeling a little extra thirsty today after mowing the lawn, so I thought I might settle for one of these bad boys.
  14. I guess you better put me on the list too!
  15. Just did a quick check, and looks like about $500.
  16. I'm looking at getting a second hand ute of some sort. Leaning towards a holden or ford mid 2000 era. (Not too old, not too expensive, not clapped out). Maybe a 1 tonner in the mix? Essentially I want to be able to occasionally carry 2 pins side by side, but mostly will be used to get stuff from the hardware, or help shift house for friends / family etc. I like the idea of the holden or ford as they are more like a car and the back is lower than 4x4 utes or tray backs.. Can you fit 2 pins side by side in? I'm after ideas, suggestions, recommendations, pros and cons, personal experience, brainstorming, my mind is open! Wolfy
